Abacus Early Learning Centers are state licensed and inspected.

Surprisingly, loopholes in Indiana’s child care laws allow most providers to sidestep these important safety and quality standards.

The Abacus Advantage

abacusman3The Abacus Advantage: Why We Stand Out As a Great Choice for Your Child Care Needs

Abacus Early Learning Centers stress the importance of taking the child to the activity and not the activity to the child.  We offer an indoor gym, a size appropriate cafeteria, and numerous outdoor playgrounds in addition to state approved classrooms.

Indoor Gym
Abacus Early Learning Centers have large gyms utilized daily by each classroom.  Structured, planned games and exercise are included as a part of our gym time. (see Gross Motor)

Cafeteria
Each age group has its own scheduled times to eat in the cafeteria for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.  All tables and chairs are size appropriate and the meals are approved by the state for their nutritional value (see Nutrition for further information.)

Outdoor Playgrounds
Abacus Early Learning Centers provide a number of outdoor playgrounds for the children to exercise on daily if the weather permits. (also see Gross Motor)

Classrooms/Curriculum
Each classroom is equipped with size appropriate tables and chairs, bathrooms and a variety of teaching tools to educate the children.  A curriculum is followed for each of the age groups and lesson plans are posted each week.

Abacus Early Learning Center’s curriculum includes:
  • History and Current Events
  • Gross Motor
  • Fine Motor and Block Building
  • Math
  • Dramatic Play
  • Literacy and Language Development
  • Story Time
  • Art/Creativity
  • Science and Discovery
  • Music
